Have you heard about relay for life? I haven't. But this time around I would lilke to spread the info to you. Relay for life is an event initiate by National Cancer Society of Malaysia to celebrate, remember and fight back against cancer in Malaysia. It alll started in the year 1985 in the United States by Dr Gordon Klatt who walked for 24 hours and raised US$27,000. Last year in Malaysia, RM300,000 was pooled together by efforts of the community.

This is not a post race report because it is way back dated event. Well not really backdated but kind of la. Its already past two weeks so my resolution to update weekly tak menjadi la.

Do you have a pre-race jitters? I dont. Well not to berlagak, but its true sebab I'm running for fun thus I guess its good right? Hopefully I'll be ready for SCM nanti, even tak registered lagi pun. Well literally already registered but technically not yet. Do you get what I mean? No worry tak penting sila abaikan.

Back to towerthon, this is my first time race using timing chip. Pretty cool huh? As above pic, tie it to your shoe lace and you ready to go. We arrived quite early coz our category start time was at 9.30 am. Konon nak warm up with the others but then they perform poco-poco instead of aerobic as per last year event. So warm up sendiri-sendiri ajelah.

Well nothing much to tell just quite impressed bacause all of us managed to finish it up. Yay to us. Okay bley berlagak sampai ke anak cucu. Oh not to forget while climbing I stop a lot for taking pictures. At certain point of the stairs there were inspirational quote to motivate us konon. But it helps kot for some people. I just simply used it for camwhoring. Ngeh. Oh other yucky things to share was someone did puked during the race and it make me want to climb faster to avoid the smell. Imagine with the humidity plus the puke smell. Yes thank you pukeman.

I like this quote. Dont you think so? I have always lurve the beach. The smell of the salty air, the wind in my face, the gentle roar of the waves all combine to create a sense of peace and calm. And having that with your bestie is a plus kan?

This is the rental camera for underwater camwhoring. I didn't even used it. Just Ely and Pak Mat used it. Nak maintain floating pun terkapai-kapai apetah lagi nak pegang kamera. That is why I didn't even bring it for the second snorkelling trip. I like this time of snorkelling because they also provide corrected goggle. It suited for me even quite a few times I need to adjust it. We manage to snap a few pics underwater but pics will be upload later kay.

I also enjoyed lazying in hammock. It so calm and make you feel sleepy. Things that I didn't get to see in Redang is the blue sands, baby shark, and turtles. I did manage to see murray eel and nemo. So kira ok la kan. I really wanna see the blue sand. Is this the cue for me to revisit Redang? Hahaha but definitely not with the same chalet la. Only we know the story behind it. And if I do revisit it must be more than three days. It will be more relaxing.

My resolution for this month, to update blog week by week right after any event untuk mengelakkan post entry yang dah lemau. There is still some entry that hanging at draft dah dekat sebulan. So malas of me. Anyway last weekend I went to Bukit Cerakah to try out something fun to do with my colleague. Well most of it are my colleague but then there was other people too yang join (friends of friends). Glad that all of us satu kepala.

This place called Skytrex. We choose the second rate of difficulty. Don't have the guts to the hardest challenge, but maybe next time kot. For more info you can check out here.

Thanks to Putri, when she came out with the idea to do this. Well sape yang cadangkan dia la yang tolong organize kan right? Thanks yeah. Hehehe.Never thought that I'll be doing this. I'm not gayat but when you are at 14 feet height, hang only by that harness and your hand was sored due to the climbing of course you'll be scared.

This is the first challenge. Its 14 feet height. Some of us even stopped in the middle of the climb just to rest their sored arms.

The next one quite okay but you'll felt yourself so heavy due to the net streching.

This is the crazy zig-zag as per mention in the skytrex website. There were two of it and this is the first one. When you attempt the second one, you'll find it is not as crazy as it looks.

Can't remember this is for what challenge. I guess it is the flying fox. There were quite a few flying fox challenge. I felt like the most easy challenge is the flying fox cause all you have to do is push yourself down the rope. For other challenge you have to use your hand and feet strenght to hold yourself up. Beside the breeze when you do flying fox is quite exhilarating, especially the last flying fox because it is the longest stretch.

This challenge you are supposed to swing yourself rope by rope to the next footrest. But then I just walk at one edge of the rope since my feet is not that long enough to reach it. Beside takde keberanian okay.

I guess this is happy hopper kot. For me its not the toughest cause there is a trick to do this challenge. Hehehe.

This is also another challenge. As you can see I can even stopped for pictures. So its quite okay la kan. Just my arms need to support to walk thru above net till the end.

The Craze for Ayam Penyet

I like the part let the food fight it out inside. Bayangkan nasi putih panas-panas lagi, dengan sambal yang kaw punyer, sekali makan dengan ayam penyet yang lembut isinye sekali dengan kruk-kruk tu. Pergh terangkat beb. Jadi silalah manjamu selera ala Melayu mesti ade nasi, ulam dan sambal belacan ok (tak tau purpose ayat ni).

Mari kita mengkaji the craze for ayam penyet ni. Kalau googled mesti ade jumpa a lot of kedai serving ayam penyet ni. It is basically nasi putih, ayam penyet (ayam goreng yang di penyet kan kot, but must be marinated with something kot and of course I don't know the recipe), sambal, kruk-kruk (x tau ape yang macam serbuk atas ayam tu) and ulam (usually timun,daun salad or terung). This is not the only menu of course! Ade gak kedai yang jual bakso, pecel lele (ikan keli), sotong goreng, and so on lah. Kesimpulannyer jika bukan penggemar ayam pun bley cuba makanan lain di kedai-kedai ayam penyet ni.

My first attempt of ayam penyet is at Wong Solo Bangi. Wong Solo ni ade jugak cawangan lain tak silap di Ampang dan Kampung Baru. Since its my first attempt memang sangat suka lah. Beside memang hantu ayam. Kat sini ade sotong goreng. Pernah order sebagai lauk tambahan, sedap, harga pun sedap jugak. T_T

My next attempt was Waroeng Penyet at The Curve. Pergi waktu lunch time memang sangat ramai orang. Kedai ni best skit sebab ade kruk-kruk tu. Tapi tak banyak. The best thing is suka sambal ni lagi compare to Wong Solo. Makan sambal tu jangan lupa campur kicap skit. Kicap dia ade rase manis-manis skit. Sesuai dengan selera saya yang kuat manis. Ayam dia pun lagi besar. Oh lupa plak, ayam di Wong Solo adalah ayam kampung ye. Tu pasal la lagi kecik. Kat sini tak de terung dalam set dia yang ade only timun and daun salad. Lauk tambahan yang pernah order kat sini kepak ayam dia. Bley la wat lauk tambahan kalau-kalau rase ayam tu tak cukup mengenyangkan.

The third restaurant that I've tried is at Sunway. Not inside Sunway Pyramid tapi opposite side of Sunway Pyramid which is shoplots called Sunway Mentari. Macam yang kat dalam gambar ni kruk-kruk sangat banyak compare to The Curve nyer. Tapi what to say dah terpikat dengan Waroeng Penyet jadi mesti lah suka sambal mereka lagi. Kat sini tak pernah order lauk tambahan. Just the regular set. Jadi kenalah pergi lagi untuk rasa lauk-lauk lain. Hahaha. Ayat tak tahan bile tetiba craving for ayam penyet. Oklah, sekian terima kasih. Dah-dah pergi kesat air liur yang dah meleleh-leleh tu. Till then. Adios.

Putrajaya Night Run 2010

Putrajaya Night Marathon 2010. Hmm another 5km fun run experience for me. But then I'm not really ran through out the whole race, a lot of walking and camwhoring jek. Plus I do not ran honestly this time around (if you know what I mean). Got a certificate but got lost somewhere thus ade picture with cert pun ok lah kan. Talk about karma bebeh.

Since this is a very late post, I already google about other people thought about this race. Some enjoy it and some had a bad experience. What with the feeder bus experience, snack and Milo, and even medal for thus running for 7.7 km. For me its quite ok just not as happening as Shape Night Run. But the most sad things is when there was one person that couldn't make it and died during the race. Condolence to his family. Overall kudos to organizer for materialize this event. Such a nice view of Putrajaya to experience while running. Oh not to forget there was a wedding photoshoot that night. Must be a nice picture with us running in background.

Its been a long time and quite a few cancellation before we can actually manage to get together and makan-makan here. We also ordered mee with ayam pandan and roti naan with cheese. The drinks also yummilicious. Quite attractive when fruit juice was served with some kind of bottled glass. At first we quite startled what to order but they already put up menu at the blackboard. For regular customer they must be already know what to order. The choice is varied and as they said semua pun sedap.

I have a confession that I've never eat at TGI's before. Last weekend I went there after watching Legion. By the way I'm not recommended to watch Legion. For me its quite boring but the action part sangat psiko. Bayangkan nenek tua tetiba jadi ganas dan siap panjat dinding ok. Back to TGI I lurve the ambience but our menu selection jadi limited. But the staff sangat over rajin untuk mengemas meja. Tau la peak time lunch time. Tak yah la rajin sangat. If you know what I mean la kan.

Totally agreed. Sangat la aman dan damai dan nyaman (actually agak panas sikit sebab kami sampai matahari dah naik). The view is awesome. The people are friendly. The grass is so green (yela x kan la kaler biru lak). The food? ops no food there bawak bekal sendiri. The air is fresh. The network coverage pun ade. Hahaha.

we arrive there late and Am miss her part (she join for the contest)
we park at Maju Junction
so walking to Jalan Doraisamy (the starting place) is consider warming up
running along side with moving cars and motorcyles is very unhealthy (read berlari sambil menghidu asap)

55. Ending 2009 Starting 2010

Wow, its been a while since the last update. My 55th entry for about more or less of one year blogging. For me 2009 has been a great year for me. The biggest change was I've been entering a running event for the first time. Fuhh memang tak sangka. Back at school I'm not an active person nor a marathoner. Saya ahli PBSM yang usually akan excuse and jaga check-point sahaja. Kalau ade pun zaman sekolah rendah ade la masuk short distance jek. Well as for now macam minat lak lari-lari ni. But not so much of fitness junkie pun. I've been ending my 2009 year with a running event (yay!). Hopefully 2010 will be a better year for me (in term of mullah la of course). Saya berazam nak berjimat-cermat sikit. Hehehe.

Will update for the One mile dash and Broga later. Here a sneak peek for next update. Hahaha, macam preview movie la plak.

Teater Natrah @ Istana Budaya

This is my first experience to watch theatre at Istana Budaya. Thanks for Tasha to make the plan. If not memang tak plan pun nak tengok. As a first timer I can't review la kan, nak compare dengan ape pun. But nevertheless such a good experience la. The ambience of Istana Budaya is some how glamorous and proper. We watch it on 7hb November and had Tun Dr Siti Hasmah as VIP guest. I never seen her in person and seem small and petite to me. I like the passion from the actor and actress. But to be frank there is a few moment that I yawned during the singing scene. Tak tau la sebab lagu ke or I'm not a music person. Beside tak pernah tengok teater musical pun so cannot make an assumption la. Other than that, I also envy the kids that perform that night. For whom yang love acting la. Yela from the early age dah dapat fill your dream of acting. I can't remember my childhood dream, even sekarang pun macam samar-samar jek nak ape dapat life sebenarnye. Erk bley tak terpikir macam tu. X pe la. Just live your life the way you want it. (",)

From KL to Malacca

Kembara Warisan is an event organised by Jabatan Warisan Negara on 7-8 November 2009. From Komplek Karangkraf Jalan Conlay to Malacca. This is not the first time I attend treasure hunt, but consider first time la for motor-hunt. Before this I joined Kristal Race this is only a foot-hunt & public transpot race. But the excitement still ade, nak kena bangun pagi-pagi tang tu yang malas tu. Anyway fyi our team tak menang pun. But the experience count right? Let me know if there is any other open treasure hunt contest. Bley join lagi and polish our tulips and answering tresure hunt skill

No 42 our team number for the race using Am's car. For me the question is quite tough, yela tak biasa join kan. Anyway quite surprise for the answer provided during the closing ceremony. Some of it memang tak terfikir pun. But there are also question that kitorang memang hentam keromo but it turn out the correct answer. Haha memang kelakar la bile fikir balik.

Apart from the race, biasa la dah sampai Melaka, nak la pegi makan kat Umbai. Dinner at Umbai because organizer didn't provide for dinner. But the next day they provide breakfast and brunch. Memang kenyang la. Kambing dia sangat sedap.

Beca pun ade nombor plet. Jangan main-main. Bley la En polis saman ek?

As the idiom said 'sambil menyelam minum air' we did melawat Malacca the next day. Visit the famous cendol stall. Four of us order different type ade yang cendol with pulut, cendol with kacang and cendol with jagung. ABC pun ade. We also visit Menara Taming Sari. Quite a view from there. Well overall best la join treasure hunt ni.

This post should be posted before Aleesya post. But nevertheless tak kisah la. This picture show the snake and ladder game in my sister's phone while we travelling to meet our beloved niece. I'm the type of person that cannot read in a moving vehicles. Tak kisah la, in car, bus, or train. So to combat the boringness, we play snake and ladder in my sister's phone. Syok just shake the phone and the dice will roll. The dice will move to designated box. It also have the same concept with the traditional board game. Syok! But I think it depends or your luck la. I won twice with my sister but also lost twice when paying with the phone.

The point is, there are a lot of ways to combat your boredom. In this years of technology, you can't be bored. With facebook's game, blog (I love to blog-hopping and when I stumble upon interesting blog its really light me up), photo blog, youtube, and even twitter.

My first time masuk kedai Gramedia. Best, besar, banyak gak selection of books, quite cozy, and the best part I love the interior design. Cun la. And ade buku Gadis Pantai. Hmm lepas exam la beli. Ayam Penyet Wong Solo

Finally I have my hand on ayam penyet. Even though not the original craving for Waroeng Penyet at The Curve, but at least it still ayam penyet yeah. This restaurant called Wong Solo. They have a few other branch at Kampung Baru. I went at Bandar Baru Bangi branch. We ordered of course Nasi Ayam Penyet set. It comes as above picture plain rice, ayam penyet with sambal, cucumber with salad, fried tempe and tofu, eggplant, and mineral water. It cost only RM10.90. I don't know other shop nyer current price, but I think its affordable lah. Ok what lunch with that price. There are also other menu set such as Nasi Ayam Bakar set and Nasi Pecel Lele set. You can also order other side dish. If you are a spicy food lover, for sure this one will satisfied your crave for it. I'm sure want to try their Ayam Bakar set next time.

I didn't know why I love to include quote in most of my post. I used to write quote and my favourite song lyrics on fancy paper with fancy handwriting and put it on my study board. Including posters (of course I didn't rewrote it back). I used to buy Galaxies and Lime to collect the posters. But no URTV or Mangga. Enough to have malaysian doses on Sunday's paper. Sometimes I don't really like the group but I just love the picture. I also sometimes just put an advertisement that have a catchy phrase and a good picture. I still keep most of my collection in folder under my bed. Maybe I should scan it and post it here.

Okay back to the pink walk. Haish me and my distraction. This event was held to create awareness for breast cancer. The walk start and finish at Menara KL. This walk also being participate by cancer survivor. I really adore them for able to fight the disease and live their life. Must be a trauma for them. For me just heard someone had cancer sent a shiver to me. Hopefully none of my closest one have to deal with it. Enough of my experience taking care my loved one in hospital. No need to add more.

Owh speaking of this, I must mention the lucky draw. I regiestered for Tasha for this walk but she couldn't make it and guess what, she won the lucky draw prize. The prize is consist of Estee Lauder cosmetics and skincare. What a luck. She is always had good luck. Even her colleague said so and ask for the reg number. *wink*

Cozy Reading Nook

I'm in the mood to read book.A lot of book while lazying during weekends. But it will not happened soon since this weekend full with open house to attend. Nevertheless during Raya time la we going to meet all the long distance friends and family right.

As above pic is reading nook that I adore. Pretty simple no need a large window and space. I always dream of reading nook by the window. Tapi the fact that my house don't have a great view pun, lupakan jelah. This kind of arrangement pun bley.

My current reading is Twilight. ~~Quite a page turner but need to hold the thought of complete the whole set after exam la~~. I've finish the whole set. Yay me! My own books pun tak habih lagi. I like to keep stock of book so that whenever I feel bored just grab it and read. My all time favourite is Mitch Albom's book. I stumble with his book from Tasha and hooked to it ever since.

Back to main title, actually this post is written while I'm on my way to kampung since my sister was driving so I make full use of the spare time to blog. But penat sikit tangan la nak type sebab my phone is not 'qwerty' nye keypad. On Friday I take half day leave konon nak buat kuih raya, tapi sempat pergi beli bahan jek. Sempat tidur tengahari tu. Wah best tul tidur petang, yela selalu time keje mana la ada masa nak tidur kan. Kalau dapat pun sekejap jek. Habih beli-beli barang dah dekat2 time nak berbuka so singgah lak 'param'. Malam la baru start nak buat. Kitorang sempat buat two type of biskut raya and satu moist chocolate cake (resepi kawan Kak Ija, hehehe). Kek tu kena kukus tapi macam x jadi sangat la (ni mesti kukus kitorang ade kemek skit tu pasal tak jadi kot). Kek tu macam bantat skit. So we decided nak try bake plak nanti. Kalau ok bley la bagi to my aunt at Penang nanti.

On Saturday, the day before Raya seperti biasa dah sibuk-sibuk prepare dishes for raya. Especially rendang. I requested for rendang daging this year. Nasib baik tak de bantahan. This year okay skit, by before buka puasa everything dah ready. Tinggal nak masak nasi himpit jek. Usual dish yang kitorang masak are kuah kacang (ni wajib ye), nasi himpit and rendang. Occasionally ade la masak lodeh. That about it for our usual getting ready for raya. How about your preparation for raya?

Iftar During Ramadhan 2009

There is no entry about Ramadhan or any Diari Ramadhan from me. Erm maybe because tak nak stereotype kot. Tapi this entry pun ape kurang nyer. Well enough said, tak de mood la but still want to share this year my Ramadan experience. Anyway during Ramadhan la most of us will get together with friends yang dah lame tak jumpa. Betul x? Time tu lah nak ber'reunion' la, nak get together la, and so on. I'm also in the 'lets get together and jom lepak lame-lame mood' bulan-bulan posa ni. Tapi time nak hujung-hujung Ramadan tak de mood plak rasenyer (sila baca : dah lari budget ok).

The first week Ely already ask me and Tasha to buka puasa at Saisaki. I'm very excited. This is not the first time, but my second time there. I can already imagine that I'm stuffing myself with food sampai senak-senak perut. So ape lagi memang perut ni bersiap sedia nak dipenuhkan dengan sushi dari the day before pun. Hehehe. This time around I couldn't ate as much as the first time. Maybe due to puasa kot. Maybe la. We also joined by Ely's friends Nurul. Satu kepala so senang nak masuk. But she not quite enjoy the food. Maybe not her taste kot. For me sampai-sampai dok kejap jek greet with others and terus head to sushi bar. Then baru head to other menu. I'm still manage to eat dessert 'green tea ice cream' while the others memang tak larat dah. Did I mention that this is a buffet. Memang worth the money la. Overall memang best beside there is 30% discount lak tu. Ngeh ngeh ngeh.

The next week I'm opt for Malay cuisine plak. Eh macam la hari-hari makan western. Hehehe. Anyway last year we (read my uni friends) we buka puasa at Jeram area but a different place from this year. This place named Aroma Ikan Bakar while the other one tak tau name ape. My dear friend already make a booking siap order lauk sekali. Siap mention we will arrived late because we had class on that day until 5 p.m. The food is worth the money but it depends on your willingness to travel as far to Jeram.

This time around I went buka puasa with my colleague at Tony Roma Midvalley. Looking forward to try their ever so famous rib but unfortunately we've been told that the ribs is unavailable at that point of time (dah habis kot. bley x macam tu? its like menipu customer tau). Looking at the bright side, this could be a reason for me to splurge and make another visit to here. Hehehe. During Ramadan Tony Roma have promotion for seafood dish. Reena and Khai ordered Salmon Pasta while Karen and Reena's sister ordered burger. Me and Nubli ordered steak (can't remember the specific menu).

The rest of the day usually I usually buka puasa at home or occasional at 'Serai Wangi'. Looking forward for 'nasi beriani Bilal' today. Hehehe. I think the best part during Ramadan is when we get together and have a good laugh and share the ups and down of life with friends and family. Its their company that make you happy even if the food is not so good. Don't you think so?

Paddington House of Pancakes

Another food outing with my friends and her little hero was during the weekend before Ramadhan. Konon nak all out before puasa la ni. Paddington house of pancakes is suggested by me. Its tempting la after read about other people whom been there.

I do love pancake especially the instant one that you only have to add water to the mixture and voila its ready to cook. As simple as that. At paddington there are lots of variety of menu. It varied from starter to dessert and all have pancake. Yela name pun house of pancake kan.

I can't remember the menu that we ordered but for mine dish is the one with the sausages and Malin's is the one with beef bacon if I'm not mistaken. Correct me if i'm wrong yeah Malin. The service is good and I can see the other tables also busy taking photo of their meal. Hehehe. Just like us but we have our little hero to be the model. Right Faris? The food is good and do not assume pancake will not be enough for lunch. It is very fullfilling and can satisfied your hunger enough said. Beside you can feed your little one with it. Hehehe.Till then 'selamat berpuasa' people.

The weekend is not over yet. The clock just strike past midnight and sunday is just started. With the "flu panic" has hit our country, more people started to worry and get early precaution. Went to the mall just now. I saw a lot of people wore mask and it hit me with a thought. Dont i worry bout it? How do i make sure to make myself secure by not get infected? You can get a lot of info by the website and forwarded email. Maybe this is only a test for us by Him. It make us realize that 'ajal dan maut ketentuan Tuhan'.

Shape Night Run 2009

This entry is quite different from my other previous entry. This is the first time I entered this type of event and it was really fun! This event is held on 25 July 2009 at Putrajaya. It was held at night. Its so tempting right to run at night and enjoy Putrajaya view. At first my colleague ask me to join this event and I was straight away say yes. Well I'm not always the malas type okay but I'm not also a fitness junkie. So I think the reason for entering this run is just for fun. I joined for 5 k.m fun run only. Its so tiring okay. I could not imagine myself to try out the 11.5 km. Let stick to the shortest k.m available okay.

We start the race at exactly 8.30pm. And walk at first since its too crowded to run. The emcee had to tease us that this is a race run not walk. Then the other also start running. Hahaha. I managed to finish off the 5 k.m without cheating in less than an hour (dedicated to Putri hehehe). At first I ran together with Am but at around 1 k.m or less maybe I feel tired and just walk and occasional ran through out the entire race. I was left behind but luckily there we many other racer who also like me that walk briskly and ran occasionally. We received a certificate at the end of the race. I guess racer whom did not finish might be dissappointed. Right after the race we grabbed our goodies bag and free 1901 hotdog and lepak at the grass in front of the buildings and start to shoot picture of ourselves with muka berpeluh2 and berkilat2 okay.

This is quite an experience for me. I never known that there are a lot of people whom enjoy to run. From there I found out there are a lot of runners group and clubs that you can enter to find people with the same passion for running. I was not there yet. Maybe I like aerobic better than running. There were times during the race that I feel bored and remind myself that next time I must bring Ipod or Mp3 to keep my spirit up (if there is any next time) *wink* So people let run for our health yeah. Milwaukee Steak Corner

Hi all. This is another post about my food outing kay. (",) This place called Milwaukee Steak Corner. I found out about this place while I was googling (is there such words) for places to eat/dine near my housing area. And tada! Here it is. Its near to Jusco Cheras Selatan, and right in front of Cavenzi. You can check-out their website here.

We went there just the two of us. Since my lil sister is the only one whom rajin to accompanied me. Before this my close friend Malin always accompanied me, but now she has other commitment (read = married with kids).

I'm excited to try out calamari steak since the moment I laid my eyes on the picture they post in their website. So I need not to wait further as their waitress handed us the menu. But of course I still want to view other menu too. It happen that they have many other menu as compare from menu they show on the website. The restaurant ambience is really cozy. We choose to sit outside to enjoy the night breeze la konon. Duhh (smoking area kay).

My sister ordered chicken chop (tak mencabar betul) and of course I ordered calamari steak. The calamari is delicious but I could not finish it off. I only manage to finish one piece only. While for the chicken chop is quite okay. What I mean is that the chicken chop is no different with other place that serve the same dish. Maybe we should try out the ribs or norwegian steak. Okay next time yeah.
